Threads That Tie You To What’s Real

Our senses write our stories. Stimulated by a scent, a sound, a song.

I may not be the woman I was when that feeling was imprinted in my system by that sensory experience. But I hear that chord rip, the first lyric start to flow and I'm carried back into the story that was once my reality, like a current running upstream, carrying me to my past. And I'm there. Past washing over me. Who I was comes alive in a memory that triggers all my senses and takes me to that single point in time.

What is real? Both question and statement.

Every experience helps to write our stories. Our senses are the threads that connect us to here and now and what was. Our senses weave the story of our experience. Our hearts and minds give them meaning.

What do you let your senses sense? What story and meaning are you imprinting on your life? What do you hear, see, feel in the world or in your mind? Beauty or the barrage of the world?

What's writing the story of what's real in your life?

Living the story we want to live starts with paying attention to what you're taking in through all senses and threading together with your daily life.
